Therapy

The fee is $240 for a 50 minute session.  There are a limited number of After Hours appointments available.  With a referral from the GP or Psychiatrist that enables access to the Medicare Rebate, the 'out of pocket cost' per session is $108.35.  In a limited number of circumstances this fee is negotiable.

Payment is required on the day of the appointment.  Payment is via Electronic Transfer of Funds.  Once payment has been made you will receive a receipt for payment form that you lodge with Medicare to receive the rebate.

Supervision

The fee for one 50-minute supervision session is $220.  In a limited amount of circumstances this may be negotiable.

Cancellation and Non-Attendance Fees

For psychological treatment to be effective, regular attendance to sessions is required.  Where session cancellation is unavoidable, please provide as much notice as possible.  This allows the appointment to be offered to another person in need.

A fee of $200 applies to all appointments that are cancelled within 24 hours of the scheduled appointment.  This fee offsets the time spent preparing for the session as well as the loss of income associated with last minute cancellations and session non-attendance.  Cancellation and non-attendance fees are not covered by the Medicare Rebate, and are an 'out of pocket' expense.
